CIT: Counselor in Training
A Super Way for Teens to Spend the Summer
Willow Grove Day Camp offers every Counselor In Training the following:
- A chance to learn leadership skills and spend a fun filled summer outdoors
- Individual schedules including sports, other activities and CIT "assignments".
- The fun-loving supervision of a talented CIT director and his capable staff
- Special events and trips - about 20 every season just for CITs, including: Jersey Shore, Dorney Park, Great Adventrure, New Hope, parties and intercamp activities
- A fully equipped activity center and separate locker rooms to meet all needs
The CIT program has been carefully developed to provide leadership training along with the fun:
- Direct involvement with a camper group and counselor or with an activity specialist
- Real-life experience with responsibility and caring for others and their needs
- Information Exchange Workshops to teach, train and counsel teens about their lives in today's world
Are you eligible to become a Willow Grove CIT?
- You must be 13 years of age as of September 1 of that camp season
- You must successfully complete the three year CIT program and have received the CIT diploma to be eligible for a Junior Staff Position.
